2nd Year Fashion Design students travelled to Kilkenny last week to see the fantastic Hi Fashion exhibition in the National Design and Craft Gallery Kilkenny. The exhibition featured work from LSAD graduates Danielle Romerill, Michael Stewart and Una Burke. Students also got a tour of the The Way Things Go; an Homage in the Butler Gallery featuring the work of our very own Aideen Barry.

Eimer Ní Mhaoldomhnaigh studied fashion at the Limerick School of Art and Design and also completed an MA in Design History and Material Culture in the National College of Art and Design.
She started working on films in the early 1990s as a trainee and wardrobe designer in various costume departments on films including The Secret of Roan Inish and Widow’s Peak and progressed to assistant costume designer, working with Joan Bergin on Michael Winterbottom’s Family, Marit Allen on Scarlett and then with Sandy Powell on Michael Collins and The Butcher Boy.
Eimer recently worked on Love and friendship with director Whit Stillman and actresses Kate Beckensdale and Chloe Sevigny. There will be a screening at UCH on October 23rd where students will get to see the costumes from the lecture on the big screen. There is a Q&A after the screening with Whit, hosted by Niall MacMonagle. Online tickets only €5
